Price increase at Playa Vista 
Due to ever increasing demand, Playa Vista's developer has scheduled a price increase effective 18th May 2007. Prices will rise by an average of 10%.
Apartments currently priced at £59,900 will rise to £64,900.
The price increase is excellent news for those who have already purchased. With a down-payment of only 40% (£23960), investors will be achieving a "paper profit" of 21%.
For those who have not already purchased, the window of opportunity to buy at the current price will close on 18th May. New reservations can still be accepted until 5 p.m. on that date.
There is likely to be a further price increase this autumn, subject to demand.
UPDATE ON SITE PROGRESS 16th May 07
Concerning current progress on the site, the directors of Playa Vista have said that "the project has incurred minor technical challenges that have forced additional in-depth studies to be carried out, leading to a temporary pause in construction. These challenges have now been resolved. As a consequence, we can confirm that heavy terracing equipment will be back on site by no later than 4th June 2007 at which time major progress is expected and regular pictorial updates on the Compass Properties web site."
Mirador Golf - New Palm Trees as Completion Approaches
The final stages of building work are now underway as the development approaches completion.
This week alone many apartments have had their kitchens and windows fitted. Meanwhile, the garden and pool area is being prepared, with several palm trees recently planted.
As yet, no dates for signings have been finalised. Purchasers will be contacted in good time to make the necessary arrangements. Needless to say, the progress on the development is encouraging news for owners.
